Liverpool have opened talks with defender Owen Beck over a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds and will look to tie him down to a new deal before sanctioning a loan move away this summer.

Beck is likely to leave Anfield on loan with the 22-year-old pushed further down the pecking order in Arne Slot's plans following the arrival of Milos Kerkez.

Rangers, Derby and Wrexham are all interested in loan moves for Beck before the summer window shuts.

Liverpool want to tie the defender down to a new long-term contract and then allow him to complete a temporary transfer.

Liverpool hatch loan plan for Beck

He spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan with Championship side Blackburn, scoring once in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Fulham ready to join Elliott race

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (25 June) that Fulham are plotting a sensational move to bring Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott back to the club this summer.

Wolves and Brighton are also keen to sign Elliott this summer, but they are facing competition from elsewhere in the Premier League for his services.

The midfielder has been backed to leave Liverpool this summer, and the player himself has hinted he is keen to move in order to play more regularly.
