Alexis Sanchez's agent is meeting Manchester United officials in London today for talks over a move to Inter Milan, Football Insider understands.

Inter have been leading the chase for Sanchez for the last few weeks with United willing to let him leave Old Trafford.

A United source has told Football Insider that the Chilean forward's representative Fernando Felicevich has travelled to London to meet club officials to try and agree a breakthrough in negotiations.

Inter are keen on signing Sanchez on loan with an option to buy, but they do not want to contribute the majority of Sanchez's £500,000-a-week wages.

Talks have been dragging on with both parties unable to agree on the structure of any deal for Sanchez to move to the Serie A giants.

Inter are keen to get the deal done as they look to reunite Sanchez with former Manchester United strike partner Romelu Lukaku before next Monday's European transfer deadline.

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is in charge of transfers and contracts

Sanchez, who is yet to feature for United so far this season amid the ongoing transfer speculation, is understood to be interested in a move to Italy and he will be hoping these latest round of talks between his agent and United will see a deal struck.
