Kevin Phillips believes top clubs will be sniffing around Wolves striker Raul Jimenez after his fantastic performances at Molineux.

The former West Brom and Sunderland forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says the Mexican international is improving week on week in the Premier League and that his form will not go unnoticed.

Jimenez has already scored 19 goals across all competitions for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men this season, with 10 of those strikes coming in the Premier League.

Phillips says that the 28-year-old will undoubtedly have suitors chasing his capture if he continues to perform, insisting he is the all-round package when it comes to leading the line.

“I think he’s getting better and better,” Phillips told Football Insider.

“I think his all-round game is excellent, his hold-up play, he can run, he’s good in the air his finishing – you saw it at the weekend – it was calm, composed.

“He’s getting like a fine wine, he’s getting better and better every week. When you’ve got a player that can score goals given the opportunity, you’ve always got a chance of winning a football match, Jimenez is a fantastic striker.

“If he keeps performing the way he is, Wolves supporters won’t thank me for this but naturally clubs are going to start having a sniff. Manchester United are looking for a striker, Chelsea are looking for a striker, Jimenez is quietly going about his business, making a name for himself.”

Jimenez has a total of 36 goals in 80 appearances for Wolves, with 23 of those strikes coming in the Premier League.
