Exclusive: Paul Robinson in major Spurs team prediction for clash v Southampton
Paul Robinson says he expects Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho to put out a strong side against Southampton in the FA Cup in a bid to seal some silverware this season.
The former Spurs and England stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says the Portuguese boss will be desperate to get a trophy under his belt in north London.
Mourinho won the FA Cup with Chelsea back in 2007 while he also has three Premier Leagues, two Champions Leagues, four League Cups, one Europa League title and other honours under his belt.
Robinson says that the Tottenham boss will view the FA Cup as a major opportunity to get off the mark in north London and suggests a strong line up will be named against Southampton.
Asked if he saw Mourinho making many changes to his side for Wednesday’s clash, Robinson told Football Insider: “I don’t, I think he’ll go strong.
“Jose, being Jose, I think he’ll want to win something, I think he’ll want to bring Spurs a trophy in his first season and have that on his CV.

“He’s very, very proud of his record and what he’s been able to do and achieved at other clubs and I think he sees the FA Cup as a real opportunity to put some silverware in the cabinet this season.”
Spurs reached the fourth round of the cup by beating Middlesbrough, although they required a replay after a 1-1 draw at the Riverside.
Wednesday’s outing is also a replay after another 1-1 stalemate against the Saints, Heung-min Son’s opener cancelled out by Sofiane Boufal’s late strike.
In other Tottenham news, Robinson has lashed out after one senior star made a bold claim about his treatment at the club.
