Exclusive: Tottenham agree terms of £17m deal in fee & wages
EXCLUSIVE By Wayne Veysey
Tottenham have agreed the terms of a deal worth £17million in total for Leeds United winger Jack Clarke, Football Insider understands.
The Londoners are set to announce the signing of the teenager, 18, next Monday after he passed a medical on Thursday and settled personal terms.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that the club are set to pay a transfer fee of up to £12million including add-ons for Clarke as well as hand him a four-year contract with the option of an extra 12 months worth £20,000-a-week plus various top-up bonuses.
The total cost of the deal is £17million although some of that is dependent upon Clarke hitting appearance and performance targets, as well as the success of the team.
The rising star will become Tottenham’s first signing in 18 months, since Lucas Moura arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in January of last year for £25million.

Clarke told Leeds earlier this week that he wanted to make the move to Tottenham as he becomes the fifth Elland Road academy player to quit the club in a big-money transfer in three-and-a-half years.
