West Ham boss David Moyes gives the thumbs up

West Ham have joined the hunt to sign Rangers centre-back Connor Goldson, Football Insider has learned.

The Premier League club are facing a major battle to avoid relegation after a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Leicester City last night.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the club are weighing up long-term defensive targets and Goldson is among those on their list as they eye a potential summer deal.

The Englishman, 27, has two-and-a-half years remaining on his Ibrox deal.

As revealed by Football Insider, he is also a target for Championship promotion chasers Leeds United, West Brom and Fulham.
