Expert 'couldn't be more pleased' with Fabio Paratici after under-the-radar Tottenham news

Tottenham have a new way of dealing with transfers after they missed out on signing Luis Diaz in January.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On Friday (17 June) Tottenham confirmed Yves Bissouma, 25, as their latest signing.

The 25-year-old becomes the club’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

As per The Guardian (14 June), Spurs have paid £22.5million for his services.

Wenham is delighted with how the deal was handled.

“I’m delighted with the signing,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He was outstanding in both games against us at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season. He single-handedly dragged them back into the game and I thought ‘this is an outstanding player’.

“You only realise how good he is when he plays against your team. A lot of Chelsea fans appeared to be frustrated they hadn’t signed him.

“I’m delighted with the way the deal was done, very under the radar. Very much the new way of dealing with things at Tottenham.

“This is since we missed out on Luis Diaz when we had journalists announcing deals when they were days away from completion.

“This is the way Fabio Paratici is now running things at Tottenham, I couldn’t be more pleased with that.”

Diaz signed for Liverpool days after reports first emerged over SPurs’ interest.

He went on to score four goals in 13 Premier League matches for the Reds.
