Expert: Tottenham have 'money in the coffers' after major development
Tottenham will have “money in the coffers” early this summer after announcing their new kit is for sale.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 7 June, Tottenham announced their new kit for the 2022-23 season.
Wenham was delighted to see the announcement come considerably earlier than it did before the 2021-22 campaign.
“To say nothing of the quick transfer business, we also had the kit out straight away,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We are acting like a serious, big club. You see Liverpool and Chelsea who, at the end of the season, are usually wearing their new kit.

“They know that through the sale of that kit, they have money in the coffers early doors so they can make signings.
“We are doing exactly the same thing. The promotion material for the new kit has been really good, I was pleased to see Harry Kane front and centre.
“Romero and Sonny were also involved. No rumours this summer, like last summer, about key players leaving the club.
“I think the kit looks good and I’m really pleased Tottenham have got it out bright and early.”
Spurs will wear their new home shirt on the opening day of the season.
Antonio Conte’s side will face Southampton on 6 August.
