Expert shares what he's heard about Antonio Conte's Tottenham future - 'it's all I'm hearing'

Antonio Conte will stay at Tottenham next season even if the club does not qualify for the Champions League.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham will either be playing Champions League or Europa League football next season with Europa Conference League qualification no longer a mathematical possibility.

Wenham has revealed that what he is hearing from his sources is what is also being reported about Conte’s future.

“It’s all I’m hearing, that Conte is going to stay this summer, regardless of whether we get Champions League football,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The Athletic have also reported, and I’ve heard some little bits, that we are going to put every penny we have into the transfer budget.

“The club have realised they have Kane and Son in the prime of their careers and a really good squad there.

“Romero is an elite, world-class player as well. It looks like we are going to back Antonio Conte.

“We need to do that. If he wants a 29-year-old international with 600 senior appearances, forget the resale value, sign him.

“He has proven himself, there has been a phenomenal difference since he came in and we need to back that up with signings.”

Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League ahead of Thursday’s (12 May) crunch clash with Arsenal.

Spurs can cut the gap to the fourth-placed Gunners to one point if they win.

In other news, an expert has claimed Tottenham’s pursuit of West Ham midfielder Soucek could hit the rocks as Antonio Conte stance reported.
