Mesut Ozil has signed a new Arsenal contract, according to a report.

Gunners blogger AFCamden has claimed on his website that the German playmaker has put pen to paper on a long-term deal.

It is said that Ozil indicated to Arsenal before the summer that he would sign new terms as long as he got the deal he wanted and the club delivered on player recruitment promises.

This comes following weeks of reports that Arsenal are trying to negotiate new agreements for Ozil and his fellow star man Alexis Sanchez.

The Mirror claimed earlier this week that the Premier League giants were working on a deal that would elevate Ozil's salary from £140,000-a-week contract to £200,000-a-week.

But AFCamden, who has broken a number of Arsenal transfer, contract and injury stories, reports that the 27-year-old has finally come to an agreement with the club that he joined in 2013 from Real Madrid for a club record fee of £40million.

Ozil had his best season for Arsenal in 2015-16, recording 19 league assists, which was just one short of Thierry Henry’s record, and helped Arsenal to a second-placed finish.

In total, the Germany international has scored 22 goals and supplied 43 assists in just 124 games for Arsenal.
