Aston Villa could be set to rake in a "big profit" if Kortney Hause joins West Ham this summer.

So says ex-Villa right-back Alan Hutton, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 26-year-old centre-back signed for £3million in 2019.

A West Ham source told Football Insider two deays earlier that they had a £17m bid rejected for Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd.

And Hutton predicts that the Irons will also be prepard to spend big to land Hause, whose contract expires next summer.

"I think they'll consider an offer," he told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.

"David Moyes has come out and said that's one of the areas he wants to strengthen.

"Kourtney has done an excellent job whenever he's been called upon for Villa.

"If there is an opportunity for him to play more games at West Ham, it's definitely something he'll think about.

"I think they bought him for about £3m, so they can make a big profit on him and it would tick a lot of boxes.

"They've brought in Axel Tuanzebee who is very good in his own right. So it comes down to the player.

"Craig Dawson was excellent for West Ham last season but he's not getting any younger.

"Hause offers you that calmness, he's got that pace and he's good on the ball. Ariely, he's very good too."
