Everton are willing to sell Cenk Tosun at a major loss but will have to wait until the January window after a potential transfer avenue closed, Football Insider can reveal.

Tosun's future at Goodison Park is up in the air after he slipped to third choice centre-forward following the late-summer arrival of Moise Kean.

An Everton source has told Football Insider the club are willing to sell Tosun, who they bought for £27million from Besiktas, for around £15million.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Tosun has snubbed a move to Qatari club Al Gharafa before the transfer window in the country shuts at the end of this month.

Talks had taken place over a permanent move this week but the Turkey international rejected it.

The player's family is settled on Merseyside and he is willing to fight for his place in Marco Silva's side even though Kean and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are ahead of him in the spearhead pecking order.

Silva is willing to offload Tosun and generate some cash that can help him reinforce the squad in January.

The forward has struggled to live up to expectations since his arrival in January of last year, with his 45 matches for Everton yielding nine goals.

He made his first appearance in the Premier League this season when he came off the bench during the 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield United last weekend.
