Nottingham Forest are ready to terminate the contracts of Daryl Murphy and Liam Bridcutt to allow them to join Bolton Wanderers, Football Insider can reveal.

A Forest source has told Football Insider that the club are ready to pay Murphy and Bridcutt for the last year of their contracts, which expire next June.

The duo are then expected to join Bolton on permanent deals rather than, as had initially been expected, on loan.

Bridcutt and Murphy have both been given the cold shoulder this season by Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi, who has made a sound impression in his first six Championship matches.

Murphy was a regular last season, when he scored six times in 32 matches in all competitions, but his two-year spell at the club appears to be drawing to a close.

Bridcutt also arrived two years ago, from Leeds United, but is surplus to requirements and is now set to end his association with Forest.

New Bolton manager Keith Hill has been given the green light to recruit multiple players on as he looks to beef up a squad that has been stripped bare during the club's financial troubles this year.
