Celtic fans have been reacting with hilarity to the news that Rangers are plotting a move for 34-year-old centre-back James Collins.

Collins, who will be available on a free this summer after being released by West Ham, is reported by the Scottish Sun to be interested in a move to Ibrox to hook up with new manager Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard has switched his attention to Collins after missing out on top summer target Martin Skrtel – that deal fell down because Rangers couldn't afford the fee or his wages.

And Celtic fans have taken this opportunity to have another dig at Rangers, with one fan asking where Dave King's mythical £20m war chest is.

Other fans seem delighted that rangers are obviously building for the long-term with a move for the 34-year-old veteran.
