Koeman would solve Everton problem area with £15m Bundesliga youngster, three reasons why
COMMENT By Will Butcher
Ronald Koeman must test RB Leipzig's resolve by attempting to lure attacker Oliver Burke to Everton this summer after a difficult season in Germany.
Burke, 20, was signed by the ambitious Bundesliga club back in the summer of 2016 from Championship outfit Nottingham Forest for a fee of £15million.
However, the Scotland international managed just five Bundesliga starts for the club and was used as a substitute 20 times by the German top-tier outfit as they finished in second place.
Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick told German newspaper Bild of his desire to keep the lofty winger at the RedBull Arena, after starring at the Emirates Cup against Benfica.
"I spoke to Oliver in London and told him we did not want to give him up," Rangnick said. "He has shown against Benfica how much is in him. When he puts his speed into play, he can have an effect. "
It remains to be seen if Burke is keen to leave the club as part of a temporary or permanent deal this summer, after being forced to watch his teammates shine from the bench.
Football Insider analyses three reasons why the young star would be perfect for Everton should he move back to these shores this summer, including the Toffees' current state of options:

Koeman's faith in youth
Koeman has continued his faith in youth since his move to Merseyside from Premier League rival Southampton, where he developed a reputation for giving his young stars a chance.
The likes of Tom Davies, Ademola Lookman, Dom Calvert-Lewin and Mason Holgate have all been given the chance to shine during his tenure.
Bringing Burke to Goodison Park would be another example of just that, as Koeman looks to use raw talent and enthusiasm over experience.

Unearthed PL gem
Before moving to Germany, Burke managed to make five appearances for Forest before deciding to complete an unlikely deal that would see him sign a five-year Leipzig deal.
During those five outings for the two-time European champions, he scored four goals including a brace against Wigan as well as showing creativity to lay on another strike.
That proven Championship talent is the kind of quality that has thrived in the Premier League in the past when players make the step up, and Burke could be another example of an unearthed gem.

Deulofeu, McGeady and Onyekuru
Everton are lacking in wingers. Despite completing a move to sign Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side KAS Eupen, the Toffees are still in need of further wide options.
Onyekuru has joined Anderlecht on loan, while Aiden McGeady and Gerard Deulofeu have left Everton to join Sunderland and Barcelona respectively. Yannick Bolasie is still injured.
Adding Burke to the squad, whether it be on loan or on a permanent deal, would be a top signing not only in terms of quality but because Everton are desperate for the width.
In other Everton transfer news, the Toffees are reportedly set to battle Liverpool for this European wonderkid.
