Bruno Guimaraes does not plan on leaving Newcastle United anytime soon as he "loves the club" and believes in the new owners' project.

That's according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Brazilian's future.

The midfielder, 25, has been targeted by Europe’s elite clubs after making a huge impact since his £40million St James’ Park arrival.

Guimaraes' current £120,000-a-week contract runs until the summer of 2026.

When asked if Newcastle need to worry about Guimaraes wanting to leave, McManus told Football Insider's Ben Wild, "No, I don't think so.

"He loves the club, you can see it whenever he plays. The way he throws himself into tackles and the way he talks about the fans and his teammates, he loves it there.

"I don't think there is anywhere better for him now. Newcastle are on the up and could be playing in the Champions League next season.

"When he joined he spoke about the project and the ambition to get into the Champions League. I think he properly believes in the club and the plan and I think he will want to see it through.

"I think Bruno will be at Newcastle for a long, long time."
