Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Burnley striker Andre Gray, according to a report.

The Mail claim Spurs are one of a number of Premier League clubs who have watched the prolific front man in recent months.

Everton and Sunderland are also keen on Gray, who has been prolific in pre-season following on from his impressive 23-goal haul last term to spearhead Burnley's promotion campaign.

It is said Burnley are reluctant to sell the 25-year-old  and would need close to £30million to consider offloading a player who was earning around £500 per week while at Luton Town just two years ago.

Burnley bought Gray for £6million from Brentford with add-ons taking the deal to £8million while the Bees have a 20 per cent sell-on clause.

Gray was recommended by former director of football Frank McParland, who pushed to have him signed at Brentford and then at Burnley when he also moved to Turf Moor.

The striker has never played in the Premier League but his two campaigns in the Championship yielded an impressive 41 league goals in 88 matches, supplemented by 18 assists.
