Mauricio Pochettino will be handed a stunning £250million transfer kitty if Christian Eriksen is sold for Daniel Levy's asking price, Football Insider understands.

Spurs' summer recruitment policy depends upon the Eriksen situation amid intense speculation Real Madrid are working on a deal to prise him from north London.

As revealed by Football Insider last month, long-standing chairman Levy intends to make it as difficult as possible for Eriksen to quit north London this summer by sticking to his £140million valuation of the player.

Other big-name departures are on the cards including Toby Alderweireld, who has a £26million release clause in his contract, and Kieran Trippier as well as fringe players such as Victor Wanyama, Fernando Llorente, Vincent Janssen, Michel Vorm and Georges-Kevin NKoudou.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that Pochettino will be handed a kitty of £50million plus whatever he generates from sales.

Should Real Madrid match Levy's asking price for Eriksen, Spurs will be confident of raising at least £200million in sales, with Trippier and Wanyama also likely to attract substantial fees.

It is a fluid situation and mean the club's recruitment team would be looking at higher-value players if the Denmark international does end his six-year association with the club.

As things stands, Levy and the White Hart Lane hierarchy are keen to return to the negotiating table with Eriksen to discuss a long-term deal.
