Findlay Curtis set for Rangers first team as pre-season plan revealed
Findlay Curtis is hugely keen to play a part in Rangers’ first-team squad next season, sources have told Football Insider.
The youngster is hoping to take advantage of what is expected to be a busy summer of changes in the squad at Ibrox and stake a claim to Danny Rohl that he is worthy of a first-team place.
The Gers are planning to have the winger involved in their senior setup during their pre-season campaign, and sources have indicated that they will make a final decision regarding his future towards the end of the summer.
Curtis has caught the eye with two goals and one assist from 11 games out on loan at Kilmarnock in recent months, and he has been an important addition in their fight against relegation.
Rangers’ transfer plans are set to bring a busy summer behind the scenes at Ibrox, and Curtis is already determined to force his way into the fold for next term.

Curtis burst onto the scene for Rangers in the early stages of the season, as he provided one of the few bright sparks during the diastrous reign of Russell Martin.
The 19-year-old fired home a stunning goal in the win over Panathinaikos in Champions League qualifying, and also netted a vital late equaliser away at St Mirren in August.

He had been expected to kick on and become a key player for the Glasgow giants across the rest of the campaign, but he found opportunities few and far between once Rohl took the reins in the dugout.
The German has been tasked with dragging Rangers back into the title race in recent months, but that has come at the expense of Curtis, who found himself firmly down the pecking order.
His loan spell at Kilmarnock has seen him find regular football in the Premiership once again, and is sure to have those at his parent club sitting up and taking notice.
Curtis’ next step is now to try to convince Rohl and his staff that he is worthy of a bigger role in 2026-27, or he could find himself shipped out on loan once again.
Premier League clubs eye ‘gamble’ on Gers youngster
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider earlier this week that it is inevitable a Premier League club will take a “gamble” on Bailey Rice, with the starlet potentially set to leave Rangers on a free transfer this summer.
The 21-year-old has long since been classed as one of Rangers’ brightest young talents, but he has been unable to break into the first-team fold at all this term.
His contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and it appears increasingly likely that he will head south of the border, with multiple Premier League clubs keen to sign him.
Brown feels that while Rice’s lack of first-team football will be a concern for the interested parties, many will be willing to make a move regardless, given that a free transfer could be on the cards.
