Forest are 14th in the Championship table and have so far had a rocky season which culminated in the sacking of Mark Warburton before Aitor Karanka took the reigns at the club.
And one of the areas on the pitch that has had fans of Forest most concerned is at the back, where they have been leaking goals.
So far the Reds have conceded 43 goals in the league this season – the joint-third worst outside of the bottom three – but fans are thankful the club has now taken action in a position that has desperately needed attention.
Figueiredo could now be ready in time to face Fulham in the Championship on Saturday where the 23-year-old will get his first real test against a Slaviša Jokanović’s side who have won their last four outings in the league.

Cheers Brian, it's lovely to finally have a defensive signing as I think we've been lacking in that department this season.
