Fulham are still hoping to keep Harry Wilson as Leeds United try to get a deal done in the next week, sources have told Football Insider.

The Yorkshire giants are working on signing the Wales international as a free agent after he scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 36 Premier League appearances in 2025-26.

With the 29-year-old's contract expiring in a week's time, his future is expected to be decided soon, with Aston Villa and Everton also in the race for his signature.

Sources say that Wilson has an offer on the table from Fulham, but the winger has showed no sign of signing an extension.

The Welshman thrived under Marco Silva in the 2025-26 campaign, but the Portuguese manager has since left the Cottagers for Benfica.

Having been voted the London outfit's player of the season, the forward's exit would be a big blow for them.

Harry Wilson development emerges at Fulham

As things stand, there's uncertainty over Wilson and the managerial future at Fulham.

Former Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa is in the running to be appointed at Craven Cottage, but it has been claimed that the London club have two options to take over.

It could be too late for Fulham's new manager to have any influence on the Wales international's future.

Wilson is besieged by interest and appears to have already made up his mind to leave the Londoners for a new challenge and a more lucrative contract.

Leeds now odds-on favourites to sign Harry Wilson as Elland Road appeal evident

Leeds United a threat at Craven Cottage

Football Insider revealed on 20 June that Leeds had offered Wilson a long-term contract and are offering a big pay rise to convince him to make a move to Elland Road.

The Cottagers have faced an attacking exodus and losing the winger, their Premier League top goalscorer from the current campaign, won't be ideal after Raul Jimenez's departure.

There's a major rebuild on the cards at the London club and fans in SW6 will surely have their eyes on Wilson's situation in the coming weeks.

Rodrigo Muniz is coming off a disappointing season and the Craven Cottage hierarchy will have some major investment to make if the Welshman leaves.
