Fulham have no plans to sell Josh King in the January transfer window despite interest from Liverpool, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old has emerged as a crucial part of Alvaro Arbeloa's side since the new manager's arrival, and has scored two goals in six Premier League games this season.

After a slow start which has led to early suggestions that they could suffer relegation, Fulham are determined to keep hold of their best players to aid in their battle for survival.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the likes of Liverpool, Man United and Barcelona could be forced to delay their pursuit of King.

A number of European clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on the midfielder's situation, while he is also believed to be on Thomas Tuchel's mind for an England call-up.

However, a move in January is unlikely to take place, with Fulham and King both aiming for the midfielder to see out the season at Craven Cottage despite the interest.

Could Fulham be tempted to cash in on Josh King?

Football Insider revealed on 11 October that Fulham have placed a minimum £50million price tag on King, and it is likely to take upwards of that price to lure him away.

Since breaking into the starting XI under Marco Silva last season, he has enhanced his reputation with a number of strong displays in the Premier League.

Those displays have placed his potential suitors on high alert, but as things stand, Fulham are expected to block any approaches in favour of keeping King at the club.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Josh King will be on the radar for a number of clubs because of his performances for Fulham so far this season.

"There’s going to be interest from some top clubs as well, but Fulham are not planning for any early departure for Josh King because of how important he is for them.

"He is still under contract until 2029 and obviously they'll want to keep him, especially if they find themselves involved in a relegation fight this season.

"They'll want to keep hold of their best players to give them the best chance of staying in the Premier League, so it's going to cost a huge fee to lure him away from Fulham.

"I think he's probably just on the fringes of that England squad as well so I think he's in the thoughts of Thomas Tuchel as well and that just shows how well he's done."

Will Liverpool make a move to sign King?

Despite Fulham's determination to keep hold of King beyond the January transfer window, the growing level of interest in his signature could see their resolve tested.

Man United, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are firmly among his admirers, with others also keeping a close eye on his development at Craven Cottage.

Football Insider revealed on 9 October that Liverpool are among the clubs keeping a close eye on King and could look to lure him to Anfield as part of their long-term plans.

He has now become one of the most highly-regarded young players in England if not across Europe, and Liverpool are being tipped to bring him to Anfield.

The Reds are set to keep tabs on King's performances, and should he continue to impress, they could be tempted to make a move ahead of their big-name rivals.
