Sources: Liverpool 'keen' on Josh King as race intensifies
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a terrific start to the season at Craven Cottage, where he has become a crucial player after breaking into the starting XI last year.
His performances have placed him on the radar of a number of top clubs, with Liverpool the latest to join the race, as they weigh up making a big-money move in January.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, King is highly regarded at Liverpool where they believe he could be a key signing for the future.
Fulham are believed to be reluctant to sell the midfielder given his role in Alvaro Arbeloa's side, but given their ongoing struggles, a move could be on the cards in 2027.
Liverpool are set to keep tabs on King's performances, and should he continue to impress, they could be tempted to make a move ahead of their big-name rivals.
Could Liverpool make a move for Josh King?
Football Insider reported over a year ago now that King was set to become a crucial part of this Fulham team, having impressed under Marco Silva at the time.
Those performances have continnued under Arbeloa, where he may even have added a new dimension to his game, but he has attracted high-profile interest as a result.
King has now become one of the most highly-regarded young players in England if not across Europe, and Liverpool are being tipped to bring him to Anfield.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Josh King will be on the radar for a number of clubs because of his performances for Fulham so far this season.
"He's been their best player with two goals in five games in the Premier League, and those performances will attract a lot of interest.
"It's not just Liverpool who are keen, there are a number of European giants having a look at Josh King. There's Arsenal, Man United, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
"He's such a talented young player, he's been spoken about for a long time. He's probably just on the fringes of that England squad as well so I think he's in the thoughts of Thomas Tuchel as well and that just shows how well he's done."
Which other clubs are interested in signing King?
King's performances have attracted interest from the biggest clubs across Europe, and while Fulham are determined not to lose him, it could be difficult to prevent an exit.
Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are among his admirers, while Arsenal and Man City are among those in the Premier League keeping tabs on his situation.
Meanwhile, Football Insider reoprted on 21 September that King is being watched closely by Man United as they aim to strengthen their depth in midfield.
This comes amid the ongoing saga regarding JJ Gabriel, who looks set to leave Old Trafford, but King is already a much better and more advanced talent than the teenager.
His performances for Fulham have placed him firmly on Michael Carrick's radar, and they could now go head to head with Liverpool and European rivals for his signature.
