Fume of Newcastle fans sees ugly truth rear its head again in build up to summer
With Premier League safety secured and a push for a top 10 finish still on the cards, there can be few who can argue that Newcastle United have not enjoyed a successful season.
The Magpies were among the lowest spenders across the summer and winter transfer windows but despite having seen their rivals bolster with a whole host of new talent, Rafael Benitez has taken a team built up of Championship title winners and turned them into a potent top flight side capable of competing.

As revealed on the personal Twitter account of the Chronicle’s journalist Chris Waugh, the Toon Army were chanting “Get out of our club” at owner Mike Ashley, as tensions towards the Sports Direct supremo ramp up once again.

His unwillingness to reach into his pocket to back Benitez in the window has already left fans fuming and it appears as though the Newcastle faithful are not satisfied with what he has given the Spaniard – something that is unlikely to change any time soon.
Getting him out of the club is the only way the north east club will ever reach their potential, and that ugly truth was brought up again on Saturday – and not for the last time this summer.
