Gabriel is so good 'he makes everyone around him' at Arsenal better - Campbell

Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Gabriel Magalhaes after Arsenal made it 10 games unbeaten in all competitions on Sunday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker said the 23-year-old “is a big player” for Mikel Arteta’s side as he makes everybody around him better.

Arsenal recorded their fifth clean sheet of the season today after a 1-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Gabriel’s form for Arteta’s side this season, Campbell said: “Gabriel is the rock at the back.

“He got his goal last week as well. What more can you ask from your centre-back?

“We talked about getting him back after the first three games and what a difference he has made. He is a big player for Arsenal.

“I don’t think everybody realises just how important he is to that team. He makes everybody around him better. Ben White looks an accomplished player next to him.

“The back five looks very strong at the moment. Gabriel makes all of the players around him look better. It’s very promising.”
