Gary Lineker posts amusing Twitter message as Tottenham destroy White Hart Lane
By Amir Mir
Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker has revealed that he “once lost a tooth” at White Hart Lane as redevelopment started on the stadium.
The Match of the Day pundit amusingly stated that he wants to be informed if anybody finds it as the stadium was being destroyed.
Spurs bid farewell to their old ground on Sunday afternoon as they recorded a 2-1 win against Manchester United.
Boyhood Tottenham fan and academy product, Harry Kane fittingly scored the winning goal as the club ended its 118-year association with the Lane.
Former England international, Lineker would have taken to the field on a number of occasions as he sent this message to his followers as pictures emerged of workers digging out the pitch.

“Lost a tooth there once,” Lineker wrote on his personal Twitter account. “If it turns up hopefully someone will let me know.”

In their final season at the Lane, Spurs finished as runners-up in the Premier League, finishing behind champions Chelsea.
Added to that, they never tasted defeat in their final campaign in north London, securing a number of impressive victories throughout the season.
Two of their biggest and arguably satisfying wins came against their London rivals, Chelsea and Arsenal, with the latter suffering a 2-0 defeat at the end of April.
Now, the north London club will temporarily move into Wembley, a stadium they used to play their European matches in this season.
Thereafter, they will then move into their new home, a 61,000-seater stadium which has been built next door to their old ground.
