Goldson tipped to quit Rangers and sign '£50,000-a-week' deal with Premier League club after Ibrox reveal - pundit
Connor Goldson could leave Rangers at the end of the season and sign a “£50,000-a-week” contract with a Premier League club, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Goldson will consider all his options as his next contract could be his last “big” deal.
His current contract with Rangers expires in the summer of 2022.
Football Insider revealed on September 16 West Ham are monitoring the defender’s situation ahead of a potential January approach.
This site also broke the news just after the summer transfer window closed that the Gers had knocked back late interest in Goldson.
His long-term future is now up in the air with Rangers keen to tie him down to a new contract.

“At the end of the day, when you’re doing well at a football club you want to maximise your earnings,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I don’t know what Rangers are offering him but maybe Rangers can’t pay very well.
“These players, when they’re doing well, they’re going to try and maximise their earnings. They will hear about the crazy money flying about in the Premier League.
“That’s why Odsonne Edouard left Celtic, that’s why Ryan Christie left for Bournemouth because they will offer more money than Celtic.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if Goldson and his agents are looking at it and thinking ‘Maybe Rangers can pay £20,000-£30,000-a-week, but maybe we can get £50,000-a-week in the Premier League’.
“You can’t really blame the player. At his age, it could be his last big deal so he’s got to maximise his earnings.”
