Newcastle are in the market for a new striker in the summer window due to the struggles of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa this season.
Eddie Howe has made Will Osula his first-choice centre-forward in recent weeks, but he has been continually linked away from St James’ Park over the last 12 months.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, PSG star Ramos is on Newcastle’s radar ahead of the summer.
PSG are open to letting him leave as he struggles to mark under Luis Enrique, in a big boost to Newcastle’s transfer plans.

Ramos has scored just once in his last seven appearances for PSG, and was sent off for a second bookable offence in his most recent Ligue 1 outing against Angers.
He has still managed to net double figures across all competitions, similar to his previous two seasons in Paris, but could be moved on this summer to a team that will make him their main striker.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Yeah, he could be a potential target for Newcastle. It does look like PSG would be open to letting Ramos leave in the summer transfer window.
“He’s not been a regular starter for Luis Enrique’s side…he’s not even started one Champions League game this season.
“Newcastle have had a long-term admiration for Ramos. They considered signing him when he was at Benfica before he moved to PSG.
“We do fully expect Newcastle to be in the market for striker reinforcements in the summer transfer window.
“If they get any indication that Ramos could be prised away from the Parc de Princes and that he’s interested in a move to the Premier League, I’m sure they’ll be one of the clubs who would be interested.”
Newcastle eyeing Donyell Malen as Roma chase quick profit
Malen has been a revelation at Roma since joining from Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy in January.
The Dutch forward has registered 12 goals and two assists in 17 appearances for the Serie A giants and they are set to trigger his buy clause as soon as the season ends.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Newcastle are interested in Malen, with Roma looking set to instantly sell him on for a profit this summer.
It is clear that the Magpies are lining up multiple striker signings, but it remains to be seen whether both Ramos and Malen will end up on Tyneside ahead of next season.
