Sources: Tarkowski ‘very keen’ to join West Ham as Burnley in talks to land replacement
James Tarkowski is keen to quit Burnley for West Ham this summer, Football Insider understands.
The Hammers have registered their interest in a fresh move for the centre-back, 28, after failing to land him last year.
A recruitment source has told Football insider that former Brentford star Tarkowski is eager to join West Ham and would jump at the chance to return to London.
The Irons submitted a series of bids rising to £30million for the defender last year but Burnley held firm.
However, they are working on securing a replacement for Tarkowski and are in talks to sign Stoke City’s Nathan Collins.
Tarkowski’s Turf Moor contract is due to expire in the summer of 2022.
