Harry Wilson drops Aston Villa transfer hint in new social media message

Harry Wilson looks to be edging closer to leaving Fulham and has dropped a new Aston Villa hint.

The 29-year-old’s contract at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the month, and both parties have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract.

There is building Premier League interest in the Wales international, who finished as Fulham’s top scorer with 10 goals this season.

Fulham knocked back a bid from Everton in the January transfer window, with manager Marco Silva saying there was “zero chance” he would be sold mid-way through the season.

Silva now looks set to leave Fulham, with the Portuguese boss close to joining Benfica, which could influence Wilson’s future in west London.

Sources told Football Insider that Aston Villa have been working on a deal to sign Wilson this summer, and he is one player Unai Emery wants to bring to the club.

Wilson has now been caught liking Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash’s Instagram post, despite the pair having never played together.

Aston Villa’s Europa League success, and top five Premier League finish, will mean they will be competing in the Champions League next season, which could be a major factor for Wilson when deciding upon his next club.

Fulham face concern over Raul Jimenez future

Fulham need to act quickly if they wish to keep striker Raul Jimenez at the club, whose contract is also expiring at the end of the month.

Jimenez netted nine Premier League goals this season, and was a key player amid injuries to fellow striker Rodrigo Muniz.

The 35-year-old’s departure from the club could signal their intentions to bring in fresh blood in attack, with Fulham one of the lowest scorers in the division.

Plenty of options are expected to be on the table should Jimenez depart, including staying in the Premier League or moving back to Mexico.
