Hazard claims Tottenham star has been best player in the Premier League

Tottenham great Micky Hazard has claimed he has been left “staggered” by the decision to leave star Dele Alli out of the PFA player of the year shortlist, believing he has been the best player in the Premier League this season.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been in fine form this campaign and has been key to helping Spurs challenge at the top of the Premier League table.
However, his fellow professionals decided he wasn’t one of the six stand out stars in the Premier League this season with teammate Harry Kane, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku of Everton, Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Chelsea star duo Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante all nominated ahead of him for the player of the year award.
The decision to leave Alli off the shortlist has been heavily criticised and Hazard joined in via his personal Twitter account, claiming it to be a “shocking decision” to leave the Premier League’s best player out.
Totally staggered @Dele_Alli is not up for PFA player of the year, shocking decision, in my opinion has been best player in Prem this season

Alli has returned 16 goals and six assists from his 30 Premier League appearances this season and is still on target to add to those tallies with seven matches of the season left.

While his stunning form hasn’t seen him put up for the player of the year shortlist, he has been selected to keep hold of his young player of the year award.
