Hazard: It would be lovely if Tottenham did this ahead of Swansea showdown

By Amir Mir

Micky Hazard has stated that it would be “lovely” if Tottenham could clinch all three points against Swansea on Wednesday night to keep the pressure on leaders Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will travel to the Liberty Stadium for their crucial showdown, seven points off Antonio Conte’s men, who host Manchester City after losing to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Dropped points from the Blues could see their London rivals close the seven-point gap on them in the table with the Premier League season in its final few months.

Spurs picked up a valuable win on the road against Sean Dyche’s Burnley on Saturday afternoon as they now travel to Wales to face a team fighting for relegation.

Ahead of the match, former Spurs player Hazard posted this message to the club and its players as they aim to secure all three points against Paul Clement’s side.

“Good luck to the boys tonight,” Hazard wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Three points would be lovely to keep the pressure on, we can do it.”

With star striker Harry Kane out injured, Vincent Janssen was the player who started up front against Burnley last time out.

The Dutchman produced a poor display and was substituted in the second-half with his replacement Son Heung-Min getting on the scoresheet.

Versatile attacker Son has found the back of the net during his last league two matches and will be looking to continue that run.

After this game, Spurs will host London rivals Watford at White Hart Lane with Pochettino’s side yet to be beaten on home soil this term.
