Kevin Phillips is adamant that Jack Grealish knows where his future lies and is almost certain he will leave Aston Villa this summer.

The former Claret and Blue, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, believes it will be “too hard” for the 24-year-old to turn down an offer from a big club.

The Villa captain ultimately secured the club’s survival yesterday with his 10th strike of the season in a 1-1 draw at West Ham.

Grealish has been Aston Villa’s outstanding player this season and has been continuously linked with a move to Manchester United.

“I wouldn’t say I am 100 per cent sure but I would be very surprised if he is at Villa next year. That is my own opinion because I just think if a big club comes knocking, you go.

“The opportunity may not come again. Grealish could be scrapping for survival again next year with Villa, his form could dip and that club might not be there.

“I am trying to think of scenarios and if a big club makes an offer in the summer I think it will be too hard to turn down.”

When asked about his future last week, Grealish said: “I am not too sure at the moment.”

“I have one aim and that is to keep this club in the Premier League.”
