Danny Mills believes Callum Wilson has alleviated the pressure on him after scoring on his Newcastle United debut.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the former Leeds and England full back believes the 28-year-old will be “absolutely delighted” to score his first Magpies goal.
Wilson joined the club from Bournemouth last week despite Aston Villa matching their offer of £20million plus add-ons, as revealed by Football Insider.

The England international marked his Toon debut with a close-range finish that opened the scoring in their 2-0 win away at West Ham United.
Asked what Wilson will be feeling after getting on the score sheet, Mills said: “It just alleviates that pressure, it’s like a new team in the Premier League.
“You want your first clean sheet, you want your first win at home, you want your first win away from home, all these types of things start to mount.
“Even if you play incredibly well, as a forward, if you don’t score and even if you’re winning people will go ‘oh, but he’s not scored yet’.
“You just need to get that burden off your back immediately and he’ll be absolutely delighted that he’s done that.
“He’s arrived, he’s scored, job done. Simple as that.
“People can’t use that stick to beat you with anymore.”
Steve Bruce told the BBC after the game: “We have been missing the goals, Callum will give us something different and makes the squad better. He can only help the situation.”
Wilson scored 41 goals in 126 Premier League appearances across five seasons for AFC Bournemouth before they suffered relegation last season.
