Hutton: I'm a 'huge fan' of Griffiths and Celtic 'need him' firing after Midtjylland blow
Alan Hutton insists Ange Postecoglou must use Leigh Griffiths when Celtic face FC Midtjylland on Wednesday night.
The Rangers icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he is a huge fan of the Hoops attacker.
However, today (27th July) The Scottish Sun claimed the striker hasn’t travelled to Denmark after picking up an injury.
The club have not confirmed whether this is the case.
On 1st July, Celtic announced Griffiths had signed a new one-year deal, suggesting he has a role to play this season.
However, his involvement in pre-season has been minimal.

He did make a cameo appearance as the Hoops went down 6-2 to West Ham at the weekend.
Hutton insists Griffiths could be a big miss as Celtic look to progress in the Champions League.
“I’m a huge fan of his,” Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.
“I like what he does, he can come up with a little bit of magic. Celtic need him.
“I would have had him in the Scotland squad just for that fact. He can give you something a little bit different.
“If I’m looking at the Celtic squad, if Griffiths is fit and his head’s right, why would you not have him involved?
“That’s my opinion on the matter. They are thin on that front.
“If he’s fit and available and everyone is happy, Postecoglou should use him.
“He can score goals and they need experienced players in that game against FC Midtjylland.”
Griffiths scored 7 goals in 26 appearances for the Hoops last season.
Celtic go into Wednesday’s clash with the scores at 1-1 after last week’s clash with Midtjylland at Parkhead.
