Hutton: Rogic is one Celtic player Rangers should fear next season after key update
Alan Hutton has suggested Tom Rogic could be a thorn in Rangers’ side again with Ange Postecoglou as his Celtic manager.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Rangers and Scotland defender claimed Rogic’s presence will also help Postecoglou settle in at Parkhead.
The pair worked together when Postecoglou was in charge of the Australia national team between 2013 and 2017.
The new Hoops boss said in his first press conference last week (25 June) the playmaker “absolutely” fits into his style of play.
And Hutton has suggested the 28-year-old can also help Postecoglou get an insight into the Parkhead dressing room.
He told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “It always makes you a little bit at ease if I’m honest.

“It’s someone the manager can bounce off and if they’ve got a close relationship they can get a good insight into the dressing room and what the boys are thinking.
“I think it’s good to have that but it’s even better for Rogic. We all know how well he can play on his day. He was a little bit in and out last season.
“A manager coming in who knows you and knows your game is always good. They have obviously built up a good relationship and it’s good for a manager coming in to know a few faces.
“He doesn’t know this league. He’s plied his trade halfway around the world so to come in and see a familiar face is good.
“Rogic’s a class player and he was always a thorn in Rangers’ side but it didn’t quite go to plan last season. Just having that manager that trusts you and your ability can go a long way for him, and against Rangers, next season.”
Rogic has scored five times and won 10 of his 15 encounters against Rangers while playing for Celtic.
