Hutton 'wowed' by Rangers new boy as he makes 'amazing' Sakala prediction
Alan Hutton has hailed Rangers new boy Fashion Sakala as a “sensational” signing.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers right-back claimed the super-quick striker, 24, will be given defenders sleepless nights this season.
The summer signing from Oostende marked his first start for Rangers with a goal in Sunday’s 2-1 win over a fairly strong Real Madrid team.
But it was Sakala’s performance that excited the Ibrox crowd as well as onlookers including Hutton, who was covering the match for the club’s official media station.
Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “Wow, what a signing he looks. I think he could be sensational this season.
“You can see what he brings. He got amazing pace, he plays on the shoulder of the defender and is always looking to make runs.

“The Real Madrid game, which was his first game, was about him bedding in and getting used to his teammates, and them getting used to him. They need to learn how to make the best use of his movement.
“He needs to be patient, as some of those runs won’t get spotted, or the ball won’t reach him. But, keep making those runs and he will get his chances.
“That pace will scare defenders and gives Rangers a really exciting new dimension.”
Sakala agreed to join Rangers on a free transfer in May, before the deal was officially rubberstamped earlier this month.
Capped five times by Zambia, he had a fine scoring record at Oostende, where his 102 matches yielded 31 goals and 10 assists.
