Crystal Palace are plotting a summer move for Rangers defender Borna Barisic, Football Insider can reveal.

The Eagles are keen to bolster their defensive options for next season with the addition of the 27-year-old.

A Crystal Palace source has told Football Insider that the London-club are ready to offer the Croatia international an opportunity to play in the Premier League.

The Gers are braced to receive offers for the left-back who has attracted interest from Tottenham and AC Milan in the past.

Barisic has been one of Steven Gerrard's standout players over the past 12 months.

He made 39 appearances last season and provided a remarkable 14 assists as well as two goals.

The defender will not come cheap having signed a new four-year deal at Ibrox in January.

Roy Hodgson is looking to strengthen his squad this summer after they failed to win any of their final eight games of the season, seven of which were losses.

Patrick van Aanholt, the Eagles current left-back, only has one year left on his deal at Selhurst Park.
