Rangers are set to announce the signing of Greg Stewart on a free transfer and two more stars may be on their way to Ibrox soon afterwards, Football Insider understands.

Playmaker Stewart has agreed terms with the Light Blues after being released by Birmingham City and will finalise the move following the end of the Scottish domestic season.

An Ibrox source has told Football Insider that winger Sheyi Ojo is also closing on a loan move to Rangers from Liverpool and the club are increasingly confident of signing centre-back George Edmundson from Oldham Athletic.

The Glasgow giants are in talks with Liverpool over the structure of a deal that would take Ojo north of the border after he spent 2018-19 at French club Reims.

Rangers are hopeful a fresh offer for Edmundson will secure an agreement with Football Insider being told they are in pole position to land the defender after tabling an opening bid.

Stewart spent the first half of the season on loan at Kilmarnock before heading to Aberdeen in January and has scored ten goals in 36 matches in total this season.

Rangers have already agreed the signings of Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones, Motherwell wide man Jake Hastie and Southampton midfielder Steven Davis ahead of the new campaign.
