Paul Robinson is excited about Erling Haaland moving to the Premier League after Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund suggested the goal machine will play for Liverpool in the future.

The former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed he "would love" to see the 20-year-old at Elland Road but expects him to join Real Madrid, Barcelona or a top-six Premier League side.

Discussing Haaland's future alongside Germany legend Lothar Matthaus, Freund claimed Anfield is "where he will land".

Dortmund's number nine has scored a staggering 26 goals in 28 appearances for the German club since arriving in an £18million deal last January.

Robinson is adamant that the Norway international would start for Jurgen Klopp's side.

"One day we will see Erling Haaland in the Premier League," he told Football Insider. "Without a shadow of a doubt.

"I would love it to be at Leeds where he grew up watching his Dad play!

"I think Dortmund was a stepping stone before a move to the Premier League. I think we will see him in England and anybody given the opportunity to sign him would take that up.

"He would make himself fit into Liverpool's starting eleven. A player of his quality and his ability starts wherever he goes but there will be a number of suitors for him.

"Whether it be Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool or any other top six club in the Premier League. If Dortmund where to sell him there would see quite a few takers."
