Paul Robinson insists Dele Alli will be a “big miss” for Tottenham against Manchester United this Friday as the midfielder prepares to serve a one-match ban.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 24-year-old was coming into a rich vein of form before the break and would have wanted to pick up where he left off.
Alli received a one-game ban and a £50,000 fine from the FA after he posted a video of himself at an airport on February 6 zooming in on an Asian man, with the caption: ‘Corona whattttt, please listen with volume.’

The England international will, therefore, miss the visit of Manchester United this week with victory a must if Jose Mourinho’s side are to realise their top-four ambitions.
Spurs are currently seven points off fourth-placed Chelsea and four points off Friday’s opponents with nine fixtures remaining.
When asked by Football Insider if he would have expected Alli to start against the Red Devils, Robinson said: “I would have thought so because he was just coming into form before the break.
“He will be a big miss. He just started playing well under Jose. If Spurs are without him and Lo Celso it will be a big blow.
“Clubs will have to utilise their whole squad throughout this period though and if we are playing three games a week, he would not have played all three anyway.
“Mourinho will have to shuffle his squad.”
However, Spurs are boosted by the return of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn and Moussa Sissoko – all of whom featured against Norwich City in a behind closed doors friendly on Friday.
Alli has scored nine goals and contributed six assists in his 35 appearances this campaign.
