COMMENT By Richard Parks

First the owner, now the manager.

Leeds United’s senior players have been told in no uncertain terms that they are fighting for their futures at the club in the final two months of the season.

Following Andrea Radrizzani’s threat last week to cull the squad, now Paul Heckingbottom has had his say on a summer overhaul.

Paul Heckingbottom revealed in a Radio Leeds interview last night (Wednesday) that Leeds United are planning on making around four senior summer signings, as he explained that there will be plenty of comings and comings.

Heckingbottom said specific plans have not yet been drawn up on new signings but made it clear the club will listen to offers for those he does not believe are up to the task.

“All that will depend on how many we can get out. If we can bring in four players, we need to make sure they make us a better squad,” said Heckingbottom, as quoted by the West Yorkshire Sport Twitter account.

“We want to compete at the top the table, regardless of budget. Once we are clear who we want to stay, who we want to be a part of the squad, and who we don’t then we will have those conversations.”

Leeds have slipped to 14th in the Championship table to leave their play-off hopes in tatters following a wretched run of one win since Boxing Day.

With Radrizzani, director of football Victor Orta and Heckingbottom ready for an overhaul, who is heading for the exit door?
