Celtic player details injury boost with mainstay set to return to training
Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain has revealed that Craig Gordon is set to return to training this week, as the pair battle it out to be number one ahead of Saturday's Scottish Cup Final.
Bain was in goal for the game against Aberdeen on Sunday, but he has made the revelation that Gordon, who has struggled with a knee injury this week, will be fit for the match against Motherwell.
"I think he is all set to join in training again,” Bain said, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“All the goalkeepers are ready to go and ready to push one another for the final.
“I’m sure Craig is desperate to play. The whole week we need to push one another and make sure that both of us are ready so that whoever gets the nod is ready. The most important thing is that mentally and physically you are ready if called upon and both of us will be.”
