Paul Robinson claims it is a "massive boost" for West Ham to have Michail Antonio back in full training.

The former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed David Moyes's side have "really missed" the 30-year-old attacker of late.

Antonio missed the 2-1 loss at Liverpool and the narrow 1-0 win over Fulham having suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City last month.

Robinson is adamant that Antonio has been the Hammers standout performer this year.

"This is massive for West Ham to have him back in contention," he told Football Insider.

"He has been their best player all season and by a long way. They have really missed him while he has been out.

"He has been given the sole striker role this year and he has led the line so well. He has looked strong, he has looked powerful and in my opinion he has been their best player.

"They have really missed him and it is going to be a massive boost to have him back."

Antonio has scored three goals in six Premier League appearances this season, continuing his rich vein of form from the backend of the 2019/20 campaign.

David Moyes's side travel to bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United on Sunday.
