West Ham loanee Grady Diangana does not want to quit his West Brom loan in January, Football Insider can reveal.

The Premier League club are able to activate a mid-season recall clause in the season-long loan deal agreed with the Championship leaders on 8 August.

Manuel Pellegrini revealed last week he was happy for Diangana to remain at West Brom for the campaign.

But that was before Manuel Lanzini underwent surgery on a fractured collarbone sustained in the 3-0 defeat to Burnley and is set for two months on the sidelines.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that Diangana remains set on staying at West Brom despite Lanzini's shattering injury.

He is keen to remain a regular starter at his loan club rather than return to West Ham and be on the fringes of the team.

Diangana wants to then return to his parent club in the summer and make a sustained push for a first XI spot after having a full season of Championship football under his belt.

The winger has taken the Championship by storm with a series of dazzling performances.

His 14 matches in the competition have yielded four goals and five assists.

West Ham are able to trigger Diangana's release clause in the first two weeks of the winter window.

Diangana has been playing predominantly on the left wing for West Brom, a position usually occupied by Felipe Anderson at the London Stadium.
