Injury expert suggests Keita has ankle problem as Liverpool image emerges
Ben Dinnery has tipped Naby Keita to feature for Liverpool tonight against FC Porto in the Champions League.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the injury expert who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine suggested Keita could return to action from the bench.
The midfielder missed the weekend’s thrilling 3-3 draw with newly-promoted Brentford.
However, he was spotted back in training on Liverpool’s official Twitter account.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed in his pre-Porto press conference (September 27) that only Harvey Elliott and Thiago Alcantara were unavailable.
Asked whether Keita would be able to feature in Portugal this evening, Dinnery told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams: “There is a lot of unknowns here.

“Jurgen Klopp was very nondescript with the type of injury. He mentioned there was a problem with the turf, a scruffing, did his studs get caught? That suggested it was ankle or foot related.
“It was nothing too serious, we haven’t had major time out so we’re not expecting any dip in fitness levels or sharpness. It’s more than realistic to expect Naby Keita to be in the squad.
“Could he be involved? Maybe not from the start but certainly he could get minutes in that match.”
Keita, 26, has played six times across all competitions this term and scored his first goal of the season in his last appearance against Crystal Palace.
The Guinea international started the club’s last Champions League game – a 3-2 victory over AC Milan at Anfield earlier this month.
