Insider predicts Tottenham swoop for Wolves star Hwang

Tottenham will target players like Wolves forward Hee-Chan Hwang in future transfer windows.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Hee-Chan, 25, is on loan at Wolves from RB Leipzig and has made a flying starting to life at Molineux.

The South Korea international bagged a game-winning brace against Newcastle in his last outing.

This means he has bagged three goals in just four Premier League outings.

The attacker had form in England ahead of this season, scoring at Anfield in the Champions League in October 2019.

The Asian market has already been a source of success for Tottenham thanks to the acquisition of Heung-Min Son.

Wenham wanted Spurs to look at signing the Wolves man this summer and tipped more moves for Asian players going forward.

“He was very good against Newcastle,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He was also very good at Salzberg. I remember him scoring against Liverpool in the Champions League a few years ago.

I was hoping Tottenham would look at him. We probably could have got him.

“Obviously we already have Son but that would be big for us. To have two popular South Korean players would be massive for revenue.

“He’s the type of signing I can see Tottenham targeting in the future.

“Targetting those areas can work wonders for a club’s revenue.”

Hwang has scored 45 goals and chipped in with 29 assists in 126 appearances for Salzburg.

He is currently away with his country on international duty.

In other news, Tottenham have been accused of “negligence” “harm” with a youngster’s career being damaged by dreadful management.
