Insider tips Tottenham to axe Dier and two other big stars as starting XI v Aston Villa named
Nuno Espirito Santo has been tipped to make three changes to his Tottenham side for Sunday’s game against Aston Villa.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham welcome Villa to North London on Sunday as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League.
Wenham predicts Eric Dier will be dropped despite starting all of Tottenham’s Premier League games this season.
He was criticised for his performance against Arsenal last weekend and missed out as Spurs beat NS Mura 5-1 on Thursday.
Following the squad’s final training session today ahead of the game, Wenham predicted a trio of youngsters in Oliver Skipp, Bryan Gil and Japhet Tanganga to be in the starting XI.

“This is what I want to see and what Nuno could do,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Hugo Lloris in goal. Japhet Tanganga at right-back. He hasn’t played there too often this season but I would like to see him given the opportunity.
“I see Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez at centre back with Sergio Reguilon at left-back.
“I want to see a midfield two of Hojbjerg and Skipp with Bryan Gil in a more advanced role ahead of them.
“Then a usual attacking three of Heung-Min Son, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura.
“That’s what I expect Nuno to do after watching the last few games.”
Tottenham go into Sunday’s game needing a positive result after their poor league form.
Nuno remains under pressure from some corners of the Spurs fanbase.
