West Ham will pursue deals for both Kelechi Iheanacho and Michy Batshuayi this summer, according to a club insider.
The Twitter account Ex-WHU employee revealed on Monday afternoon that West Ham were poised to make bids for both Iheanacho and Batshuayi, who were at the top of the club’s summer wishlist.
“Iheanacho and Batshuayi are our two top forward targets and we will make a move for both,” the account reported.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for a new goalscorer this summer after a miserable season in the Premier League that saw the Hammers struggle in the final third.
The latest reports in the national media have merely speculated that the Hammers were ‘considering’ bids for a number of targets, but it now appears that West Ham are ready to make at least two formal offers.

But ex-WHU Employee, who is a reliable source of Hammers news and has broken a number of stories about the club this season, has revealed that the London club would be making an approach for not one, but both their preferred striker targets this summer.
The Telegraph had earlier revealed that manager Slaven Bilic was to meet with the West Ham board on Monday and discuss his summer targets, and it appears as though the goalscoring duo were at the centre of the discussion.
The news follows up a report in the Evening Standard that claimed the club were eyeing a £20million move for Manchester City’s Iheanacho, and were also weighing up a move for Chelsea’s Batshuayi.
Meanwhile, the revelation from ex-WHU Employee suggests that West Ham will not be pursuing a move for either Jermain Defoe or Daniel Sturridge, who could both be readily available – at least for the time being.
Football Insider verdict
The West Ham fans will be demanding swift action from Bilic this summer in an attempt to rectify the disasters of their season and find solutions in the transfer market. They have already been linked with a host of targets, of which a few are also reportedly on the radar of their Premier League rivals. But the news that West Ham are set to approach both Iheanacho and Batshuayi this summer will be music to the ears of fans. The intent is there from the club to bring quality players to the club, and the fact they are pursuing two targets suggests they are taking the extra care to ensure they don’t suffer in front of goal next term.
In other West Ham transfer news, the club have been presented with a perfect chance to sign this three-time Premier League winner.
