Everton striker Moise Kean could end up scoring “bundles” of goals on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, according to Kevin Phillips.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the 1999/2000 Premier League golden boot winner believes the tempo and standard of defenders in the top-flight was too much for the 20-year-old.

The Italian striker joined last season’s Champions League finalists on Sunday evening after he was limited to just 13 minutes of Premier League action this season.

Kean moved to Goodison Park last summer for a £25.1million fee plus add ons but started just eight games in all competitions for the Toffees last season.

And Phillips admits he was initially surprised that he did not settle in England.

Asked by Football Insider whether the move to Goodison Park came too early for Kean, he said: “Possibly, yes.

“He was one of those four with Joelinton, Haller and Wesley at Villa, you thought these big four, powerful strikers would come into and settle into the Premier League with no problem whatsoever.

“It’s amazing how all four of them have struggled.

“I just think it’s the tempo of the game and the better defenders that they’re coming up against.

“You watch him, he’ll probably go away now and score loads of goals.

“And people will be saying ‘why did we get rid of him?’ but sometimes players can’t settle.

“We’ve seen it loads of times with players that have left. Look at Romelu Lukaku who went to Inter Milan and can’t stop scoring.

“Some leagues and some clubs don’t suit players and vice versa.

“Watch him at PSG, he’ll score bundles.”
